Nusa DuaEver since I got married in Italy I have been enthusiastic about destination weddings and when a friend invited me to his wedding in Bali I said yes please! Bali is a popular wedding destination for Australians, Americans and Europeans, and now I see why Nusa Dua Bali is perfect for weddings and Bali honeymoons.
Getting married in Bali is easy
In fact Bali now has to be added to my list of the most romantic places in the world just perfect for getting married. Legally, Indonesian law makes it straightforward for foreigners to get married in Bali under one of the following religions: Buddhism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Islam, and Protestantism. You must prove your identity and that you are legally free to marry. There is a small administration fee and then you can let your romantic imagination run riot.
Nusa Dua holidays in Bali
There’s nothing but pure luxury at this opulent, gated beach resort development, where you’ll immediately find yourself in an oasis of calm. If you’re looking for a paradise getaway drenched in luxury, Nusa Dua is the place because it is home to some of the best international hotels in Bali. The pristine, golden shoreline of Nusa Dua Beach with its lineup of exclusive Bali resorts is perfect for both families and honeymooners.
Nusa Dua holidays on Bali’s south-east coast offer the unique combination of a palm-fringed sandy beach and upmarket resorts with a fantastic shopping mall. Here you’ll find top restaurants, shops, cafes and spas. There’s even a theatre for a spot of culture during your stay.
Visit Uluwatu Temple in its magnificent cliff-top setting and make sure to see the amazing Kecak fire dancing show. Go to see the stunning ‘hidden cave’ beach of Suluban, tucked under the Uluwatu cliffs. Another popular excursion is to see the 4,000-tonne, 21-storey-high Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue of Vishnu riding the legendary garuda at the nearby cultural park.
The exclusive luxury resorts of Nusa Dua
For people planning a Bali honeymoon, this exclusive resort, with its manicured streets and chic hotels offers the perfect taste of the high life – the ultimate treat far removed from the cares of everyday life. Set your alarm one morning for a sunrise walk along the beachfront path for kaleidoscopic views and jaw-dropping scenes.
Nusa Dua beach is well serviced with watersports providers so try jet skiing, parasailing or scuba diving, or go on a glass bottomed boat tour. Of course your luxurious Nusa Dua beach hotel will have a selection of beautiful swimming pools to enjoy, and you might like to end your day with a sunset dinner cruise.
Why plan a wedding in Bali?
Do you want to have a beautiful ceremony with paper lanterns and mountains of frangipani flowers? There are plenty of options with a wedding in Bali!
Do you want to prepare for your wedding in Bali with a programme of decadent pampering and Balinese beauty treatments? Spa Lembah is the place.
Do you want a Bali honeymoon in a luxuriously appointed villa with a private pool and romantic bale lounging hut, while enjoying the facilities of a fine hotel in Bali? Nusa Dua beach resorts are perfect, or spend a few days at The Viceroy in Ubud.
Do you want to have romantic, candle-lit dinners in a serene tropical setting with flower petals scattered on the floor around the table and an individually designed menu of fine French cuisine for you and your loved one? Nusa Dua has lots of sophisticated dining options and I highly recommend The CasCades Restaurant in Ubud.
Yes, Bali is one of the most romantic places in the world to get married.

this is interesting 🙂 Next year is my trip to Bali and will surely enjoy watching couples getting married there 🙂
Lovely post.
Lovely. I have dreamed of going to Bali ever since a good friend told me that he planned to retire there (this was back in the 1980’s) and he was originally from Indonesia. I loved the way he described everything. I wonder if he still is making those same plans. As usual, your images are wonderful

Bali’s a great place to visit and a perfect place to get married. I was actually looking at the costs recently and a wedding package is normally around Rp100 million ($11,000).
